Welcome to My Class! I am so excited to be part of Elizabethtown High School. I have very high expectations for every single student who walks in to room 304 . My main goal this year is to expose the students to their reading and writing abilities and to have them perform to the best of those abilities. There might be a few life lessons along the way and the push to follow their dreams! I want to let you know that I have an open line of communication. Please do not hesitate to contact me about any questions you may have. Email is the easiest way to contact me but a phone call is fine too. My contact information is under the contact tab at the top of the page. I look forward to getting to know all my Panthers and can’t wait to have a GREAT year at EHS!
A Little about Me! This is my first year at EHS, but my 8th year teaching English. I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Middle Grades Education from Western Kentucky Univeristy and Masters degree in Professional School Counseling from the University of the Cumberlands. I am married to my husband Cory and we live in Hardin County. I have one daughter, Macy Rae, who takes up most of my time outside of school! My philosophy of education can be summarized in my favorite quote:
“The future of the world is in my class today, a future that is good and bad…I must be vigilant every day, lest I lose one fragile opportunity to improve tomorrow.” – Ivan Fetzwater
